I had someone reach out to me a few years ago, selling me on her “tool” that promised to have you NEVER leave “flow.”
No turmoil or angst… ever. š
A joy, a flow
that “never leaves.”
Of course, on this side of heaven, such a thing does not exist.
For ALL of us,
things will pop up that challenge us, (i.e. GROW us)
things that hurt us,
things that force us to make tough decisions,
things that reveal character,
ours, of course,
and others’.
Things that shake us a bit,
catch us off guard,
and
well — in her words —
have us “leaving flow.” š
This is jUST part of our human experience.
And it will ALSO be part of our entrepreneurial experience.
The KEY here is to SURF these times, to stay afloat, to stay upright… to not allow a negative situation or person or circumstance to pull you under the waves.
Outside of sheer grief, which is another thing entirely I have learned, It is completely possible to stay afloat when you’re DILIGENT about managing your own energy.
Here are the 3 journal prompts I use to “surf” negative situations, even while squarely in the midst of them.
š What can I learn from this?
š How is it GOOD? (or, What good is it growing or allowing?)
š I now choose ___________________.
