And maybe get a massage, if they can take me in.
And I’ll make a great deal of money.
In fact, I’ll put my phone on “do not disturb” so I can check in with my daily income when I choose, rather than getting the DINGS of my email signifying individual sales that are coming in.
Side note: I will still look at EVERY sale that comes in. I LOVE seeing names I’ve never seen before who are taking a chance on me and one of my programs for the first time. And I LOVE seeing names that I know… people who are still around 8, 9, 10, 12 years later… still bobbing and weaving with me to continually up-level their business. And I still get giddy looking at the money coming in in chunks while I “just do life.” It’s “normal” now, but still equally exciting.
I can tell you that NONE of this would happen for me if it were not for my content HABITS, HACKS & HOW TOs. Not ONE or even a few content pieces…. but through a HABIT of content.

Content — when done right — builds demand.
Content generates leads and interest… AND good will.
Content builds relationship.

Content done right, that is.

But first, I want to address why SO MUCH of content marketing — EVEN WHEN CONSISTENT — doesn’t work. This is, frankly, easier to write in a post than to say it to your face. It’s easier to write about “them” than say to a person that THE VERY content they are hoping will HELP them is actually ERODING their authority and with it… their cash.
So, if ANY of this rings true,
pay attention to it.
It matters.
The 3 P’s That May be Eroding YOUR Brand’s Authority Online
🎃 A PLEADING POSTURE. =( You’re either begging and convincing and proving yourself… OR you’re confidently and generously offering to help. There is NO in between. If you are thinking in terms of “How can I convince them to ______________?” you need to take a step back.
Convincing is a beggar’s posture.
Not a leaders.
There’s no authority in pleading and convincing.
SOME money can be made here, but it will be hand to mouth. SOME money SOME time, but No momentum, no leapfrogging, no demand.
Look, ABSOLUTE TRUTHS are true all the time.
What if your daughter came to you and asked for advice on how to CONVINCE some boy to keep being her boyfriend? You’d be appalled right?
RIGHT???
The same is true with clients.
IF you’re asking me how to CONVINCE someone to work with you, stay with you, not cancel a contract, we will IMMEDIATELY shift into a more appropriate conversation about your overall posture.
Your content should have a certain CERTAINTY to it. A certain POSTURE of leadership. A certain AUTHORITY to it. A certain, “You need to pay attention to this” tone.
This can be TAUGHT and LEARNED.
It is a skill.

may just be acknowledging that you may have a BIT
Of a pleading posture.
🎃 PARTNERSHIP-HAPPY PERSONA. I don’t know how to say this. So, I’ll go around my a$$ to say it without being OUTRAGEOUSLY offensive.
A few things are mandatory for my kids.
I talk often about a couple of them. Work, being one.
Non-negotiable. Period.
Another… is the confidence to be alone.
Before they leave MY tutelage they will have gone to the movies ALONE and out to eat ALONE.
They don’t LIKE it,
but it is a mandatory experience.
You MUST be willing to stand alone. I’m not saying don’t HAVE business partners, but I AM saying that it SHOWS when you are UNWILLING to show up alone. It shows up as a weakness, as a lack of confidence in whatever you sell, a lack of willingness to BET ON YOU.
This erodes authority.
People see it, and take notice.
So, where do YOU stand ALONE in your OWN AUTHORITY??????

WHEN discussing your business,
the words,
“i’m not in it for the money” is code for
“i’m not confident anyone will want to buy this from me.” or “I’m not sure what I have to offer is enough.” (AND USUALLY, “All of my bills are paid elsewhere.” lol…. )
if you are in business,
but doing everything for free…
and / or actually SAYING the words that you don’t care about profiting from your work,

This isn’t greed,
