(+ How To Work Them Into Your Funnels and Marketing)
Today I’m working on my funnels, re-working them, making them more ALIGNED with who I am, what I’m about, and also… why to join Women Who WOW (of course.)
I’m not doing this because I think that if my funnels are ON FLEEK (is that phrase still a thing?) they’ll buy from me. People will NEVER buy from you because your marketing is OH SO PERFECT or OH SO PROFESSIONAL. That’s just not a thing.
But HERE are 5 reasons why people REALLY buy from you:
💵 THEY PREFER YOUR “TAKE” ON WHATEVER IT IS YOU SELL.
So, there are business communities that do little more than penis-measuring as a way to motivate greater “success,” others that refuse to talk business or numbers at all, others that focus ONLY on the idea that you can sell to others in the group as the main draw, and still others that glorify hustle and grind and busy. There are people who PREFER all of this.
In EVERY industry, there’s a healthy, robust market for EVERY angle. (There is STILL a very active “Flat Earth Society” and yes… you have to pay to join.)
This includes YOUR angle, your twisted little view of whatever it is that you do.
Women find Women Who WOW because they want a balanced, holistic and simple approach to actual financial success. They don’t mind the hustle, but won’t sacrifice their most important priorities on the altar of success. They’ll do what it takes, but want their efforts to FInALLY produce a return. ($$) And they’re willing to go all in on being THEMSELVES to create an irresistible brand that makes tons of money on their own terms. (This last bit is instructional by the way.)
My point is that people buy from you when you hit on a nerve, a suspicion or a belief that makes them PREFER YOUR ANGLE, your view, your lens.
Plenty of pediatricians (not enough, in my opinion, but plenty) are chosen because of their stand for vaccine freedom. Plenty of surgeons are chosen because of ONE THING: Their “finish” technique… (i.e. how they stitch you to prevent / reduce scarring.) Plenty of chiropractors are chosen because they have a pretty pronounced weight loss angle. Plenty of attorneys are chosen because they have a PUNISHING presence. Plenty of business / weight loss / relationship coaches are chosen for their hard core demeanor and EQUAL numbers are chosen because of their SOFT and SQUISHY demeanor.
Bottom line: they buy from you because they like YOUR angle. It resonates with them in some way.
Action: Be MORE of yourself. Bring MORE of yourself to market. Share MORE of what you actually believe. YES, some people will be turned off, but they’re just lurkers anyway. Others will be DRAWN IN thinking, “THIS is my person. I’m so glad I found her. She GETS IT.”
💵YOUR PRINCIPLES ARE A MATCH.
My CORE beliefs & principles have become increasingly unpopular in recent years. I am a Christ follower, a devoted wife, a nurturing mother (& grandmother.) I believe in hard work and that we are only guaranteed equal OPPORTUNITY, not equal results. (Behavior congruency = Results Congruency.) I don’t believe we get what we DESERVE but what we’re willing to create. I do not do fear… at all, and I will never be “ruled,” ever.
I stand for freedom.
Mine AND yours.
I do not intend to dictate anyone else’s decisions,
and I will not have mine dictated.
Ever.
Who EVER would have thought that hard work, accountability, personal responsibility and freedom would have become ACTUALLY controversial?
Anyway, these are MY principles.
I believe in:
— cause and effect.
— Behavior = result.
— natural and obvious actions over contrived and silly ones.
And people find themselves DRAWN to my business because our PRINCIPLES are a match. They FEEL understood and accepted here. They ALIGN with me on the core things that make me, me … and also make them, them.
Action: Don’t play coy with what your business is built on. MINE is built on cause and effect and common sense. NOT some magic dust and right phase of the moon stuff.
Just choose an effect you want, and be willing to be the cause of it. When you are hustling and it’s not working, go back to basics. Ask if the NATURAL and OBVIOUS outcome of your ACTIONS (not your thoughts, but your actions) is what you’re really after. If so, keep going. If not, change your actions.
💵 IT’S JUST TIME. AND YOU’RE ALWAYS THERE.
Sometimes people are low key following you. They see your stuff. Comment. Message. but they never buy. And then they do.
It’s NOT USUALLY because you changed up your opt-in or glossed up your funnels. In these situations, it’s just time. They’ve been watching, reading, whatever… and building a relationship with you.
You keep talking to them, writing to them.
They keep nodding in agreement.
Until one day… they need what you have
or one day they finally RECOGNIZE that they need what you have.
And then they buy.
Why? Because you were a consistent presence. Because you kept showing up.
Action: Keep showing up.
there are REAL PEOPLE being encouraged by your content today, INSPIRED to take another step. And when it is TIME, they’ll buy from you.
💵 THEY WANT SOMETHING YOU HAVE.
It may or may not be what you sell, exactly. Some people come to me NOT because they want to make more money on their own terms (what I sell) because they have a trust fund or benevolent husband or some other reason they REALLY aren’t that motivated by money.
WHY ARE THEY HERE?
Because they want other things I have. Confidence. Certainty. A certain “je ne sais pas” quality — re: business but also re: other woman things — that they want in order to build DEMAND for and RECOGNITION of their voice.
but also… they want to have a successful / profitable business that makes a lot of money but doesn’t DEMAND ALL OF THEIR TIME to do it. They want to get paid what they’re worth while STILL being present and active in their other roles: woman, wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister.
So, what is it that you have that others WANT or WANT ACCESS to? It could be your defiance, or your level of fitness or your relationship status. It could even be your sense of style. Whatever.
Action: What really sets you apart? What do you have that others admire? Make it FRONT and CENTER in your marketing.
💵 THEY TRUST YOU.
Trust is a weird thing. Because what some trust, others absolutely distrust.
As an example, I have a high DIStrust for government and traditional doctors. But others? They have absolute trust in these two things. When the white coat comes out, they’re willing to do whatever she says. When the government comes and says, “I’m from the government and I’m here to help” they’re not petrified, they’re actually relieved.
Some people trust public acccolades. So, they trust reviews or media mentions. Others trust referrals, and give NO credence to where I have been featured or mentioned. Still others trust branding… it either LOOKS legit (to them) or it does not. Others trust longevity, experience, or education.
BUT MOST OF US, trust some combination of all of these things. So, the action is this: What do YOU HAVE that is trustworthy?
Is media your thing? Promote it.
Do you have coveted longevity in your industry? Broadcast it.
Do you have extensive experience or education? Share it.
Do your clients, members or patients LOVE you? Tout it.
