I’ll never forget an email response from this woman who offered to EDIT my sales email, suggesting that I’ll “never make any money” if I don’t “professionally edit” my writing, so I can be “taken seriously.” She wanted me to hire her.
The thing was…
that exact email
brought in $100,000 in sales… FAST.

Me thinks
she missed
the point.
The AVERAGE salary of someone who scans another person’s writing for spelling and grammatical errors is between $14 – $20 per hour. And back then, when I received that email, I’m sure it was much less. But if THAT is what you are here to do, have at it. If you are an entrepreneur, a coach, surgeon, photographer, personal trainer, veterinarian, therapist, though… keep reading.
Most people think that their pay as an entrepreneur will increase due to things like:
🔥 HOW GOOD THEY ARE at doing what they do. (Wrong.)
🔥 How PROFESSIONAL they look or act. (Wrong.)
🔥 How POLISHED their presentation or funnels are. (Wrong again.)
And so… we spend our time and money:
⭐️ getting additional certifications and trainings,
⭐️ polishing our funnels,
⭐️ building out our membership site,
⭐️ gamifying our program, and more.
Not entirely bad things in general.. but as a way to dramatically increase your income? You’ll FEEL fancier but they’re all dead in the water in terms of moving the income needle.
The KEY to increasing your income is learning how to TALK with your market.
Sure, I can hack an algorithm — get a ton of likes and comments — with some lame “Tell me how you like your eggs” post or a “There are no months that start with the letter J. Prove me wrong.” B.S…
But to WHAT END?
Look, in the world of social media (and social media gurus)
and content marketing (and content marketing gurus)
and all of the other STUFF we’ve got to do or have (funnels, social credibility through easily purchased “followers,” videos, hashtags, whatever) it’s easy to miss the SIMPLICITY of making money as an entrepreneur.
CONVERSATION = CASH.
Period.
Nothing sells except through conversation.
Now, this conversation can be via the written word, a facebook message or email exchange, a live facebook video, Zoom workshop, funnel or any platform you can think of. Platforms come and go and they don’t matter.
What MATTERS is how you talk to your market.
👢 How OFTEN
Consider the amount of money you want to make. No, the amount you REALLY want to make. You want to make THAT AMOUNT of money off of your market, but RESIST the idea of showing up and actually just speaking to them once a day?
Get over yourself. Show up consistently.
It builds trust.
It builds authority.
It builds rapport.
It builds relationship.
👢 How CONVINCINGLY
This has to do with what you REALLY think of what you’re selling. Do you REALLY believe it will make a difference in their lives? Yeah? Good…
Tell them so. Tell them so over and over and over again.
I have NO problem telling people that they will never find WHAT WOMEN WHO WOW DELIVERS anywhere else. Period. I have no problem showing up daily, standing on this podium I built with sweat equity and elbow grease and telling the unfiltered truth about what it takes to build a successful business on your own terms… from SCRATCH.
the first person you have to convince is yourself. From there, it would feel selfish to keep all the goodness to yourself! 😊

Zig Ziglar used to remind us that Timid sales people have skinny kids. 😊 If you are CONVINCED it will help them, don’t beat around the bush… don’t hint around… ASK them to buy it.

Don’t show up talking about something that bores you to tears because that SEO guru or content marketing guru presented you with a content calendar and that’s today’s topic. NO… NO… NO…
Show up and speak to the problems you solve.
Show up and speak from the heart, not from the calendar.
Bottom line:
Cash comes from conversation.
Content marketing is REALLY just ongoing conversation.
So, get in conversations that matter.
