Frankly, nothing disgusts me more than seeing otherwise smart women work SO FREAKING HARD to fit in… all in some effort to make money… all while
1) reasoning that they will ONE DAY be their full selves, you know… once they no longer NEED the money; and
2) pretending or outright SAYING what a badass they are, lol… all while following the rules SO FREAKING HARD they can’t even REMEMBER the last time they went toe to toe with ANYTHING… and won. Mainly because, they never show up to fight.
It takes a LOT of effort to follow
all of the SHOULDS of business today.
But woman, not ONLY will following all of these #bizrules not earn you any rewards, doing this actually works against you.
The harder you work to follow,
the harder it will be to find ANY FOOL
willing to
Follow the follower of the follower.
It takes WORK to squeeze yourself into the voice, the angle, the format, the energy of some template you bought. It takes a LOT OF WORK to polish yourself and your message — and, indeed your very soul — to the point of removing any HINT of your real personality.
All of this work,
— the formatting,
the polishing of the images,
the choosing of the colors (not based on your soul but based on some version of “what’s working now”)
the dumbing down or political correcting of the message —
will make you look like
EVERYONE ELSE,
all those other poor souls complying with those same rules.
What could you POSSIBLY want from that? WHAT possible benefit could that offer you? What do you hope to GAIN from all of this work?
This Stepfordpreneur march is B.S.
It is a fool’s game.
It leads to being busy AND broke,
two states i REFUSE to find myself in.
But mainly… all of this:
dulls your shine,
neuters your power,
weakens your magnetism, and worst of all
DELAYS you stepping into your REAL role as the woman who came to run ALL this shit!
And it IS only a delay.
Because you KNOW.
You know you were born for more, born to LEAD, born to have a massive impact, born for increasing influence.
And if this is you,
You will come back to it.
It being the work of being you,
and monetizing the hell out of it.
