I NEVER **EVER** CONSIDERED MY BUSINESS AN “ONLINE” BUSINESS.
And this is PARTLY why I’m more profitable than most.
Is my business online?
Yes.
Is 90% of what I do VIRTUAL over zoom?
Also yes.
But I always just considered this a BUSINESS.
Here is why it matters:
Once you start THINKING in terms of “online” business vs. “just” business….
— The “experts” start DISTANCING you from iron clad business principles… like profit, revenue and the like. 😊
— FAKE metrics (engagement, views, etc.) start being repeated so much, you BEGIN to believe they have ACTUAL value, and they start to take precedence over REAL metrics like LEADS, COST (to acquire a lead, to acquire a sale), LIFETIME value of a client, etc.
Bottom line: No matter HOW MUCH of your business is online, if you’re serious about success, think ONLY In terms of BUSINESS…. and ignore the “online” focus.
