I don’t know the ONE thing you can do… the one tool you can use… or the ONE way you can guarantee your wild, unreasonable success in your business.
There is NO big red easy button — not really. But — failing at business IS pretty easy. We know that 4 out of every 5 businesses fail. One guaranteed way to join them is to model your efforts and actions after theirs. Follow them to their networking groups. See where they’re advertising and place your ad next to theirs. Secret shop them to see how they’re mishandling prospects and model your own system after theirs. Behavioral congruency will ALWAYS equal results congruency. So, make your actions match theirs, and you can share in their fate. After all, misery loves company.
Now, on to the next guaranteed way to sink your business. Identify the number one activity that must be done to make you lots of money. Hint: This activity is SALES… finding new ideal clients and having a sales conversation with them. And then, busy yourself with all sorts of things OTHER than that KEY ISSUE so integral to your success.
By all means, if you are determined to sink your business — rendering it entirely UNprofitable — feel free to have a bunch of coffee dates with no agenda, network until you run out of networking groups to attend, re-do that logo again, or spend a day re-visiting your mission and vision statement. If you’re un-willing to put ALL of your effort into the KEY ISSUE for business success, any other activity will do.
