Our sponsors continue to humble the members of WOW with their generosity. For our May meeting, I had to drive our gifts to the hotel in the back of my husband’s pick up truck. I would have had to take THREE trips in my Jetta. Today, I want to focus on two sponsors that give us two different “takes” on GIRL POWER.
What is Normal?
An amazing testament to initiative, drive, determination and human potential. That’s how I’d describe Ginny’s story, played out in the book, What is Normal? and the screenplay WIN. Ginny’s intention to start this company was to inspire and motivate others to believe in themselves no matter what their circumstance is.
When others come to Ginny for assistance manifesting their projects, she asks questions to find an angle for a cross promoting opportunity. This is a Win / Win for her. The MORE platforms and connections used the greater chance of SUCCESS! She shares WOW’s philosophy on partnership!
Quick example: Ginny had a local woman come to her with handmade Barbie clothes asking for marketing advice. She LOVES this kind of stuff. She then suggested the lady make a Lady Gaga Barbie. Utilizing the display / container, make a media wall with Ginny’s logo for the back ground, do Barbie’s hair, make one of Lady Gaga’s famous costumes, and have her book in “Barbie Goes Gaga’s” hand. That Barbie was gifted to Lady Gaga at the Kids Choice Awards along with her real book.
Visit Ginny here and look for her as a possible guest speaker at our September event!
Volo Vitamins
We all know we need a bit of ENERGY from time to time as business owners. One of my new go to options… VOLO Vitamins. Volo’s founder, John, noticed his kids were eating gummy vitamins, FILLED with corn syrup and sugar. He KNEW that he could make something better with nothing artificial. He then created premium, all-natural, sugar free powder vitamins for adults and children. WOW members LOVED them. (And you can not only find them on the volo site, but at Vitamin Shoppe and Walgreens as well.
The biggest lesson John has learned in business so far is, PATIENCE. Volo Vitamins has moved at a much slower pace than other businesses he has been involved in. It takes a long time to make the product, and to gain access to retailers and gain market share. Patience and persistence is starting to pay off!
