Words of Wisdom for Other WOW Members:
Many years ago I heard someone refer to a friend of hers as a “balcony person” and I wondered what she meant. She explained that a balcony person is someone who is up in your balcony applauding and cheering you on while you run your life race. The other extreme is the “basement person” — these are the negative people who keep trying to find a way to pull you down into the basement with them. The wisest advice I could ever give anyone is to always surround yourselves with balcony people and stay away from the basement people…. but even more than that, become a balcony person yourself. Be an encourager to every one you meet. You may never know it, you may even forget you said it, but the kind word you say to someone today could make the difference in their life.
