As an avid reader of PRINTED (vs. digital) books, I applaud small publishers producing superior books in today’s market. It’s about MORE than selling books these days, publishers have to — unfortunately — sell the market on READING in general. It is an uphill battle and TallFellow Press is leading the charge, producing quality books that empower, encourage and equip readers. So, when TallFellow came on board to sponsor our December 2015 meeting, we were ecstatic. Let’s learn a bit more about the great minds behind TallFellow!
What prompted you to start this company or create this product?
Having a family history in publishing, I wanted to re-start Tallfellow Press keeping with the tradition of publishing Humor and Inspiration. The first book Really?!!?! is a funny look at online dating from a female perspective. And it’s all true! (This statement is confirmed by our WOW members who are currently dating online!)
It All Begins With “I” is the book that can change lives. (Again, confirmed by ME… and by our members!) It really shows people how to live the life they’ve always wanted to live… and live it now. The author Stuart K Robinson is a life coach and motivational speaker who has helped so many people on their path to happiness.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned in business so far?
That’s a tough one. There are many. I would say nothing goes smoothly all the time and you have to be prepared for adversity and have a way of dealing with it in order to prosper and remain sane (the book mentioned above is a great help!). Also, sometimes it is an advantage to be a woman and sometimes it’s more difficult and you have to know the difference and when to use the plusses and fight the minuses. Stick to your guns and believe in yourself!
