This is a word that has been used more and more to describe me recently, and I love it. I am — in fact — wild and untamed, although there were times when I tried to hide my wild-ish nature. Tried to curb it, keep it under wraps, pretend I was… I don’t know… more ‘socially acceptable.”
I am SO fortunate to have been raised by parents– and now be married to a man — who have no interest in “taming” me. Largely, I was left and trusted to explore all the facets of who God created me to be.
I knew I’d marry my husband early. LARGELY because he was the only man who KNEW I was feral and didn’t hope to change that.
He was once told, by someone who had known me nearly my entire life and knew how feral I really was, “You know you’ll never tame her.” To this day I don’t know Chris’ exact response, but I know that the thought of taking the wild out of me hadn’t occurred to him.
He loves the wild.
He appreciates the feral.
He has ZERO interest in seeing any of it fade.
And I love no longer having to PRETEND not to be feral. I love being able to show up…
at work,
in friendships,
in bed,
on stage,
in my writing…
fully
unapologetically
ruthlessly
feral.
If YOU are feral,
wild,
unyielding in your non-compliance
AND you’re an entrepreneur
(because, of course you are)
message me about Women Who WOW.
