One thing I’m noticing in the entrepreneurial world is a complete lack of focus on the GROUND GAME of marketing, messaging, connecting, etc. I see a LOT of messaging from proverbial ivory towers, a lot of fancy talk, a lot of BIG talk…
But too few hugs….
Too little direct contact.
Too little 1:1 conversation.
Too little REAL talk.
A lot of WINGS,
and too shallow of roots.
In my signature course, “Membership Miracle” I revealed exactly how I created an international “tribe” of women entrepreneurs, exactly HOW I managed to secure members in EACH and EVERY state in our nation.
This wasn’t by accident, friend.
This was ALL ground game.
This was ALL relationship building,
this was ALL direct contact.
Business is, in fact, a contact sport.
So, with all of my DAILY content, with all of my focus on the “messaging,” I don’t want to give any sort of illusion that I avoid the contact… the eye-to-eye stuff (even if it happens digitally).
I don’t want to give ANY sort of impression that our carefully constructed, brilliantly branded websites or blogs or Facebook pages can be a SUBSTITUTE for actually building relationships with people.
So, today I challenge you to think of your OWN ground game.
Do you know what it is?
Do you know where and how and when YOU (or some extension of you) shows up at someone’s front door?
Do you talk WITH the people you are meant to serve… or, do you just talk AT them?
I can say this with ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY:
What WE DESIRE most is that which is dangerously nearing extinction: CONNECTION.
So, for God’s sakes, let’s show up. Let’s BE that connection in our communities, in our markets. Let’s make our GROUND GAME of MARKETING focus on relationships.
Do this and YES you’ll make a lot more money.
Do this and YES you’ll become much more in demand.
But do this because it will also connect YOU to your business… it will make your business easier, more enjoyable, less complicated, less chaotic, less ISOLATED.
