In order to get to the business point I want to make, which will reveal to you — without question — whether or not your eventual WILD success is OBVIOUSLY going to happen (or not), I have to get real and vulnerable with you for a minute… about my body, about my weight.
The hard truth is that I’ve been heavier than I want to be for quite some time. I’ve lost weight, kept it off for a couple of years, gained it back… took 2 steps forward and 3 steps back MANY TIMES.
I’d call it “baby weight” except that my youngest “baby” is already 15 years old…. so offering THAT excuse would make me look a bit ridiculous, right?
Anyway, I got fed up with myself.
YES, i wondered why it wasn’t easier.
YES, I looked backwards in regret… why didn’t i just fight harder to KEEP the weight off once I lost it?
YES, I sought the help of experts and different plans… Maybe THIS ONE would be the one that would work for me.
But, and this is key, I was always approaching weight loss as an overweight woman wanting to be thin. Obvious, right? BUT, also…. exactly opposite of what is actually required to get the body I want.
Eventually, I got fed up ENOUGH to just do what it takes.
I gave up all sugar (a truly addictive substance for me).
I began exercising daily… doing things I ENJOY doing…. making them a habit.
I began eating and craving whole, rich foods.
Let’s be clear. I am NO WHERE near where I want to be weight wise. BUT, this weekend, I took this picture of my Mister and me and I LOVED it.
It shows that what I’m doing currently IS working, and WILL work — despite WEEKS of not seeing the results I wanted on the scale.
Will I get the body I want eventually?
ABSOLUTELY GUARANTEED.
HOW?
How is this guaranteed?
I’M DAY IN / DAY OUT DOING THE WORK.
i’m not just imagining a new body.
Or journaling about an ideal weight.
I’m not simply planning for that “one day” body”
Or promising myself or my husband that it’s coming.
I’m doing the work.
I’m eating NOW as someone who has a thin, healthy, strong body.
I’m moving NOW as someone who has a thin, healthy, strong body.
Because you know who does this stuff???
THIN, HEALTHY & FIT GIRLS. =)
But that’s not all.
I’m no longer weighing myself every day.
Or searching google or amazon for the latest greatest diet or pill.
Because you know who DOES THAT?
FAT GIRLS.
I’m living INTO being thin, healthy and fit.
My daily ACTIONS are aligned with what I WANT to create.
Healthy living is now INGRAINED in my IDENTITY.
It has literally become who I AM.
And I’m doing the same in business.
I’m taking ACTION — DAILY — that is aligned with my desired outcome. I’m taking this action DAILY even when the outcome hasn’t yet materialized. I’m not “trying” this or that. I’ve COMMITTED 100% to showing up as a leader who is worth following, showing up as an industry rock star, showing up as someone leading an international community of women entrepreneurs.
This is actually who I am.
BUT, I started action-ing, showing up this way
BEFORE the results materialized.
In this way, my success is guaranteed.
Through my actions.
Through my DAILY actions.
Through my commitment to the LONG game.
