Little known truth: I am — and have always been — an excellent marksman. I do not often shoot…. anything. I have never been hunting and never even been to an indoor shooting range before this weekend. I have never held the gun I shot this weekend.
The shot DIRECTLY between the eyes, though…
Mine.
First shot.
Most of the rest…. Chris. 😊
I must have inherited “the skill.” lol… My Grandad could hit a moving rabbit (which he ALWAYS ate) with an old gun while legally blind. When I asked him about this so many years ago, he said,
“At some point, it’s just you and the rabbit.”
Now, my Grandad was no “manifestation expert.” 😊 He dropped out of elementary school in the 4th grade to “bring in ‘da tobacca” and never went back. But his words always stuck with me…
At some point,
its GOT to be about you and your target…
At SOME point,
the tool, the system, the stuff in BETWEEN can’t matter.
Because when everything else fades away….
and it ALWAYS fades away…
the noise,
the rules,
the shoulds,
the doubts,
the second-guessing…
At SOME point, woman
it’s just you…
YOU and the goal you SAID you were after.
My advice for shooting is the same for hitting ANY target:
Aim small, miss small.
AND, let everything fade away…
It’s just you and the target, friend.
Now get after it!
