I hear it all the time.
The I WISH statements…
I wish it / you were closer.
I wish it / you were cheaper.
I wish it / you were more convenient.
I wish it / you were “softer.” (lol…)
First note that these are not comments I hear from my ideal clients. They don’t typically “wish” — they DO. But, I hear this from a lot of people who WANT to be like my clients. They want to be DO-ers. They want to be successful. They want to be profitable.
Oh — and they would be.
If only their wish came true. If only there WERE an ACTUAL EASY BUTTON. If only success came cheap. If only it were convenient and unchallenging. If only it came to YOUR CITY and KNOCKED on YOUR DOOR. If only it were FREE and just showed up. If only it cost nothing, required little and gave much.
If only… If only… If only….
Easy is hardly ever what thrills me. Never what pushes me. Never what grows me. NEVER what I wish for.
Many will think me cold or heartless, but I wish EVERYONE — only and always — exactly the success they’ve EARNED. Because wishing without being WILLING is futile.
