To be frank, the title of this in my journal is simply,
“What do people need to know and understand in order to cheerfully and QUICKLY hop into my Content 2 Cash program before doors close.” =) #truth
And here are the three things that immediately jumped out at me:
1.) You are ALREADY taking time and (for some of you) money to create content that is NOT working the way you hoped; (Wouldn’t it be nice if it actually produced a return for you????? Consistently and on demand?)
and
2.) Content marketing CAN be “like magic” in that it makes everything about business EASIER and more profitable… BUT you have to be doing it STRATEGICALLY and — at the risk of sounding like a broken record — in a way that is INFUSED with
✍🏻 Authority
✍🏻 Alignment
and
✍🏻 Allure.
and
3.) This is ALL I do to build the business you see today.

So, you’re ALREADY doing content marketing.
Across platforms,
daily, maybe…
weekly most likely,
some live, some scheduled…
and you say you’re “NOT SURE” if it’s working or not.
Sure you’re sure.
It’s either driving DEMAND and DOLLARS
or not.
Your content is EITHER bringing you ideal prospects who are literally raising their hand and saying, “I want in” or “I have a question” or “I want more of this” or it’s not. Period.
If it IS,
great.
If it is NOT,
you’re doing it wrong.
AND THIS SAYS NOTHING ABOUT YOU.
It’s simply that you (like me and so many others) are following the WRONG example. This morning someone told me they were following Gary Vaynerchuk’s example. Actually, it was them following David Neagle’s interpretation of Gary Vaynerchuk’s example.
Important questions to ask:
🤔 Does your business model look anything like Gary’s? No.
🤔 Is this working for David? (I would go on the record and say the jury is still out on this one, but the answer is I don’t know.)
🤔 Did Gary follow Gary’s example when Gary was building the business Gary runs today? No.
And she’s certainly not alone.
I’ve tried unsuccessfully to follow someone else’s program before too. As the Sunday School song goes,
“Oh be careful little eyes what you see…
oh be careful little ears what you hear… =) ”
Because sometimes these things can throw you off.
I don’t teach “process” necessarily.
I teach what I actually DO,
which is PRINCIPLES applied authentically and daily.
In other words, your best content system will allow you to incorporate the PRINCIPLES of what works (always) in a way that you LOVE and fully represents who you are in your market, niche and industry.
So, question…
🤔🤔 Are you ALREADY investing time in “content marketing” but it’s NOT working for you…. or doesn’t seem to be???? Content marketing DOES seem a bit like “magic.”
Simply because it makes everything else EASIEr.
Branding.
Visibility.
Selling.
they can ALL be created / cemented / leveraged / accomplished with a simple 20-minute content HABIT. One “thing,” multiple uses….. infinite benefit.
What’s more is that content (done right) actually GROWS in value as time passes. It will be worth MORE a year from now than it is today. And worth WAY more in 5 years than it is today.
PLUS… content is whatever you decide it will be. It can be written. Pre-recorded. Live. Scripted. Ad libbed. Audio only. Visual. Graphics. It can be whatever you DESIRE it to be. And it can ebb and flow based on your life, your schedule, your preferences… or frankly, even whether or not you want to put make up on for a LIVE. (Usually… I don’t.) =)
Content marketing is the BEST
most EFFICIENT
most EFFECTIVE
most PRODUCTIVE,
most PROFITABLE
engine / fuel I have EVER found in my 2 decades of business.
