So, in the past couple of weeks,
lots has happened.
ONE, I’ve come back to myself.
For a while I had BECOME grief itself,
I eventually just LIVED WITH grief,
and now, I “just” CARRY grief.
My heart still aches, but I am experiencing OTHER emotions again, too. Joy. Excitement. Anger. Curiosity. Inspiration. Anticipation. All the things that were SO MUTED or MISSING for so long.
TWO, I’ve been inspired with my business again. So much so that for the first time in my business history, PayPal took notice of me. 😊 Put funds on hold. #jerks Called me for a private conversation. NOT pretty or fun, but SORT OF a proud moment, in a weird way. lol…
THREE, I’ve gotten a lot of attention, media and otherwise. 😊 Not ALL of it super positive. lol… ALL of it, though, used as fuel and fodder for the multi-faceted business I’m so proud to helm.
BUT times, they ARE a’changing.
Two of my best friends are in real estate.
A couple of my members are in the tech space, riddled with massive layoffs. Another member’s biggest client is Google. Another serves the professionals that work in the financial sector. AND ALL OF US (in the US) are feeling — and know our clients are feeling —
MASSIVE inflation,
MASSIVE increase in our CORE bills each month,
and the NEAR DESTRUCTION of our 401K’s and other investments.
OF COURSE this has an impact on businesses.
If you were in business in 2008, you KNOW where this is headed. But keep in mind, that recession was PRIMARILY limited to the housing market, mortgages, dot.com space, etc. THIS ONE is much farther reaching. Its recessionary fingers are stretching into nearly EVERY industry.
So, No…
money is no longer flowing UPHILL, per say…
but it IS flowing.
It is ALWAYS flowing.
The key is to ADJUST so that you are always in the flow.
Here are five ways you can step INTO the FLOW of money / sales as we navigate the changing economy:
⭐️First things first, you need PROVEN STRATEGY.
Guys, the days of willy nilly “hope as a strategy” are over. (Unless your bills are met “elsewhere.”) This does NOT mean that you take the shine off of your message or the sting out of your words. This does NOT mean that you schedule your shit out so that it’s SO STALE before it hits the market, it nearly stinks. This is NOT a call to follow-the-leader B.S.
BUT you MUST have **A** strategy. You MUST be able to DEFINE what you want and what actions you’re taking to get it. You MUST be able to make sense of HOW you want your business to WORK, perform, etc. (I go into detail on this, starting on page 8 of my free Report, “TRUE SUCCESS FILES.” Message me if you want it. No opt in. No list. Just a quick email from my gmail to yours.)
⭐️ You need to get UBER Deliberate.
This is just “common sense,” really. We need to know WHAT we’re doing and WHY we’re doing it. TEST whatever you want, follow your fancy, for sure. BUT… know what you’re HOPING to produce. Recessionary economies can be AMAZING for increasing profit… but they are unforgiving. So, have an overall strategy and get deliberate with your actions.
⭐️ Commit to measurement.
If you know what you’re doing and why,
you can MEASURE that activity for effectiveness.
I look at it this way.
ALL of my business-related activity is EXPECTED to return a profit. Period.
In order to know what I need to do MORE of and what I need to do LESS of, I HAVE to be willing to measure.
“is this working for me?”
I don’t care what this guru or that guru SAID would work or how many testimonials they showed you. IS IT WORKING FOR YOU is what matters.
If it is, keep doing it. Actually, do MORE of it.
If it is not, though… scratch it.
In this way, you free up your time AND you make more money.
⭐️ REALLY focus on a relationship with your chosen market.
All of the SEO or advertising or content or networking in the world will NOT work as well as it could if you do not actively pursue the HEART of your market.
No matter how “famous” you are, or how “big” you get, it’s CRITICAL to listen to your market, to hear them, to read THEIR stuff, to get to know them BETTER than anyone else jockeying for their attention.

Trust is HUGE and getting HUGER. 😊 People’s TRUST and CERTAINTY is being eroded. This is not just their trust in you.. but their trust in themselves, their circumstances, their government or their future. In all of this uncertainty, trust becomes paramount.
So, don’t JUST look at your funnels. Show up and talk. Listen. Read. Watch. Care.
⭐️ Course Correct in real time.
As you hone your own strategy, measure the effectiveness of your actions and get to know your market BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE (message me for a list of things you should know about your market!) you must be willing to course correct in real time.
There is NO value in PERSISTENCE
if you’re persisting in the WRONG direction. 😊
So, plan, do, watch, measure and adjust. THIS is how you succeed FASTER in economic realities that will — unfortunately — thin the herd in EVERY industry.
