I asked recently what people are MOST PROUD of in their business. Many stated that they were PROUD that they hadn’t given up. And I hear you… but
let’s talk about that. =)
I’ve often used kid analogies when I talk about business.
Q: How many websites should I have?
A: Websites are like kids. You can have as many as you are willing to feed and put through college.
Q: Should I give up on my business?
A: CAN YOU? Because if you CAN… you probably SHOULD. And I say the same thing about parenting…. to parents who “threaten” to walk out of their kids’ life if this or that doesn’t happen, change or turn around. If you CAN, you probably SHOULD. Walk away and make room for someone who won’t.
You see.. you can only be proud of not giving up…
when giving up is actually an option. =)
And for you…
I know
it’s not.
Maybe you are like I was, and “giving up” meant getting a J-O-B and leaving your kids with someone else. Maybe “giving up” means walking away from an idea that is so precious to you… that you can’t even explain it. Maybe giving up means quitting on your work JUST before payday. Maybe giving up on “this business” is giving up on your purpose, and you KNOW it. Maybe giving up is saying NO to the part of your soul that MOST longs to be expressed.
You see,
business is simple,
But it isn’t always easy.
And the going gets tough,
and sometimes the results you’re working towards aren’t rolling in like you’d like,
and there MAY be times when you WISH you could give up.
But let’s face facts here woman.
Most of you,
Like me,
can’t.
Won’t.
Because this business of ours,
is a dream,
Is a part of us…
and while we may waver from time to time,
we’re not going
ANYWHERE.
So, instead of being proud you haven’t given up,
when in your heart of hearts you know…
“Woman… it ain’t in me to quit!”
Try this:
Go all in.
Go all in as if you KNOW
that you will NEVER quit…
and because you KNOW you will never QUIT,
you’re going to throw ALL You have at this life,
this business,
those CRAZY dreams you have hidden in your heart.
WHAT
WOULD
going all in look like?
Because there’s the energy of
“I haven’t quit yet…”
and there’s the energy of:
I AM ALL IN
and will NOT TAKE NO for an answer.
Hell…I won’t even take ALMOST for an answer.
I’m going ALL THE WAY.
ALL IN,
ALL THE WAY,
EVERY
SINGLE
DAY.
