Scott “Scotty Lou” Leggett Woolard III of Chesapeake, VA passed away on May 28, 2022 at the age of 43 after his motorcycle hit a deer in the rural hunting county he has loved since he was child.
Scotty was born on January 7th, 1979 in Norfolk, VA and was part of the first graduating class of Hickory High School in 1997. Always the life of the party, Scotty never turned down the opportunity for another adventure… leaving his friends and family plenty of stories and memories to cherish for a lifetime.
Scotty was blessed with a large and loving family who are grieving his loss with every fiber of their being. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Scott L. Woolard Sr. He is survived by his parents Scott and Vickie Woolard Jr., his children Summer Lauryn Stogsdill (Austin), Scott “Buddy” Leggett Woolard IV (Bailie Holliday), and Kenzy “Boogs” Woolard; one grandson, Scott “Brooks” Leggett Woolard V and one granddaughter on the way, Blakely Lauryn Stogsdill; his sister and brother-in-law Michelle and Chris Pippin; his niece, Shelbey Pippin (PJ Connors) and nephew, CJ Pippin; his grandmother, Lois Woolard; his Aunt and Uncle Darlene and Clinton Biggs and countless cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. Throughout his entire life, Scotty was surrounded by unconditional love.
Everyone loved Scotty. He was equal parts the man you wanted to kick off your party (or keep it going!) and the man you needed to problem-solve your building project. There was no one you’d rather have by your side in a crisis or tragedy. If you’ve ever been hugged by him, you knew you’d been hugged. He hugged hard, loved hard, fought hard, rode hard, played hard, worked hard, and partied hard. He loved hunting, his Harley and treated every snow day with the same love and excitement he had as a kid. His smile lit up every room. To share more about Scotty and /or to share a story, click here.
