They say that a breakdown is a set up for a breakthrough. That may be true, but I’ve noticed in my own work — and my work with clients — that there are other, more specific telltale signs that you are getting ready to breakthrough…
And by breakthrough,
even that’s not what you think.
I used to think it was more like a breaking through the surface of the water, filling your lungs with air after a long, long, long underwater swim.
(Does THAT tell you how business was for me once upon a time?) =)
But I’ve experienced entrepreneurial breakthroughs,
and personal ones (especially lately)
and it’s not “breaking through” at all…
not in the sense I always expected anyway.
TRUE breakthrough is more of a “slipping into…”
slipping into a new current,
a new reality,
a new pace,
a new tribe,
a new way of being.
Using the water analogy,
it’s like you go from treading water and looking for rescue…
to FINALLY slipping below the surface…
only to find you’re now being whisked away
in the RIGHT current
at the RIGHT pace and all you have to do is….
BREATHE… and even that is easy.
This morning, I sunk into a new current.
I can’t explain it exactly but I can tell you
4 TELL TALE SIGNS
that your business (or life or relationship)
is getting ready to
thankfully… =)
NEVER BE THE SAME.
Here are the 4 signs that you need to keep going because your breakthrough woman… is
on
its
way:
You’re D.O.N.E.
(D) You are feeling DEFIANT.
If you find yourself in a place where you don’t care who or what you lose or what you must pay or go through, woman…. keep walking. You’ve just surrendered all the things you used to hold (too) tight. And that is ALWAYS one of the last steps before you walk into your own personal promised land. Lay it all down. Shake your fists if you must, but keep walking. BETTER is coming.
(O) You are feeling OUTRAGED.
All of the sudden, the thing you thought would be “really great” to have or be or happen… is more than just “great,” it’s necessary. And what’s more? You find it all of the sudden OUTRAGEOUS that it hasn’t happened yet, that you’re not there yet, that you don’t have that yet. It feels as if the world is topsy turvy, and things are not “right.” Now you know that in a completely real sense, that thing or goal is YOURS.
(N) You know you’ll NEVER stop.
You go from trying this and that, to going all in. You make the investment, you get the help, you don’t dilly dally. You know that no matter what, you will NEVER stop until that breakthrough occurs. This decision in your soul, the one that often occurs on the backside of you being defiant and outraged, seems to flip a switch in the world. I can’t explain it, but great things happen when all of the sudden you stop playing around, go all in and stare the world in the eye and say, “UNTIL NOTHING… UNTIL IT HAPPENS.” I’ll continue UNTIL.
(E) You are EXPECTANT.
You will no longer be surprised when what you are after shows up, because you FULLY expect it to.
Too often, I see women say the WORDS
that they are all in,
but when they have a chance,
to slam down hard on that gas…
they pull the escape hatch,
so they can sit on the grass and
“sit a spell.”
The come so close…
but when they get into that period of transition…
that moment where they must leave behind,
release,
surrender,
all they were, and all they did, and all they have,
to walk into their FUTURE self, future goals, future reality…
they press pause.
They want to think,
consider,
SHRINK back.
I know…
because I have been that woman many times,
in many areas.
And it is a sad place to be.
if you are reading this and you KNOW this is where you are, I KNOW how it’s feeling inside.
I know the smile that you pull out when you are talking about why you didn’t keep going, why you’re pulling back. I know the sharp awareness of KNOWING that EVERY excuse you’re giving is so full of shit.
I know the risk in jumping…
the uncertainty of the moments when you are in the air,
unsure you can keep going….
And I know the thrill of the landing.
