Everyone who knows me knows I love my home. I love when I can work from home. I love nights home with my Mister. I love our family’s Wednesday night dessert tradition. So, when I saw what these two sponsors sent to our Women Who WOW members, I was IN LOVE. And very very grateful!
Big Feet PJ’s
I LOVE warm PJ’s in the winter. AND, the next Women Who WOW Working PJ party is in the fall…. so when I saw these Big Feet PJ’s arrive in the office, I was smitten! I did NOT expect my stash to be raided by my son and his friend. =) While they didn’t like the pink — they “manned” it up with the camo. =) Anyway, I’m a fan.
While at a party, the founder of Big Feet PJ’s watched as the children came downstairs to say “Goodnight”. A few of the guests at the party commented on how cute their footie pajamas were AND how they wished footie pajamas were available for adults. Before long, ALL of the adults were in agreement, citing various reasons and sharing stories of their youth in footed onesies. Soon thereafter, she created Big Feet Pajama Company, www.BigFeetPJs.com
The biggest lesson they have learned in their company is, delegate, but REMEMBER employees do what you inspect, not what you EXPECT. (With this last comment, I have to wonder if the founder of Big Feet PJs is a Dan Kennedy fan!)
Travertine Spa….ahhhh
LOVE spa products. They are definitely my happy place. BUT ONLY when they are organic, holistic, and not clogging my pores with chemicals and junk. The founder of Travertine Spa agrees.
Terry was a frazzled corporate executive who sought out healthy ways to relieve stress. A few times a year she would retreat to a spa resort and enjoy the holistic and organic treatments. She bought some essential oils and started formulating products in her kitchen for friends. In time, after working with professional formulators, she created a line of products that can share the gift of organic healing rejuvination with others.
Terry has learned to be honest with yourself about your business. Brutally honest. (Women Who WOW agree!!! ) Also, to be willing to take criticism and evaluate if it has merit. (ALL WOW members develop a thick skin… in a hurry!) She says to believe in your business. She had a former co-worker laugh in her face when she brought her a pre-release version of her product. Three years later when she saw the huge celebrity following they have on their website www.travertinespa.com and their products at the Ritz Carlton, she asked her for a job. Terry knew she had a good product. She proceeded based on her knowledge, belief in her product quality, and determination. Congratulations Terry! We’re huge fans as well!
