Danita Harris CEO, started Rated M Wine Infused Foods as an extension of her book writing business. She writes books on business and healthy relationships, and felt like she needed an additional product that would appeal to her market. When we read, we enjoy a glass of wine, when we take the book to book club, we drink and when we apply the healthy relationship principles learned from the book with our significant other, we drink.
Her investors loved the uniqueness of the Natural Flavored wines they were selling – because after all people want a good tasting wine – but the wine industry is crowded, and they felt they have a better chance with a more unique product. That’s where she started exploring adding wines to foods we already use, like sea salt, and frozen sorbet… and Rated M Wine Infused Foods was born.
In business, Danita learned to listen to her gut more. She has good discernment, so as she continued to grow in business, she found herself kicking her own butt for not listening to her intuition more. It would have prevented a lot of heartache for her. However, she is thankful for learning those lessons at the beginning of her growth.
