In 2010, I was already — by most any assessment — a successful coach. 6-figure income++, working with clients that I (mostly, lol…) loved and even gaining some national notoriety in my niche. AND I had a waiting list of clients who wanted to work with me. BUT… I was also painfully stuck.
I was stuck in this awkward spot of wanting more money
and at times NEEDING more money
(3 kids in private school, braces, new cars, etc.)
and KNOWING a quick way to make more money
(pick a client off of my wait list and serve them!)
but also knowing that more clients came with more demand on my time, my thoughts, my schedule, etc.
I felt SILLY for not just picking up a new client. Silly and also selfish, stubborn, “too precious” and — frankly — irresponsible. I really judged myself for not just taking that route. It would have been easy, guaranteed, grown up.
I had bills to pay.
But I also had this SOUL desire
to build an empire of sorts,
to impact many more women than I could EVER do 1:1.
AND I wanted MORE freedom,
not less.
So, instead of picking UP a new client… I did something OUTRAGEOUS. I REFUNDED all of those who had paid to be on my waiting list to work with me when an opening came up. I refunded them with an apology and a scary announcement: I was not going to be taking on any additional 1:1 clients. Instead of them paying me $12,000 up front for their first 3 months, I suggested they pay me $67….
For my first digital program,
a simple little program,
that OTHERS would (10 years later) classify as a “pocket product.”
I named it Rapid Results, and it changed EVERYTHING for me. With EACH “ding” of that PayPal button, I had a growing confidence that THIS (being an infopreneur and not just a coach) could be my future. A future where I could WRITE and SPEAK for money. A future where I could create something ONCE and get paid over and over again. This little pocket product has so far made me 6-figures of income BY ITSELF. below.)
Keep in mind, back then my list was painfully small.
I was BARELY on social media.
I had invested $0 in ads.
I used email (BCC list, based on business cards that I had collected) and a facebook post as my “launch tools.”
I had NO affiliates (and, happily paid no affiliate fees!)
I had NO coach teaching me how to do this, which means I HACK JOBBED my way to success.
And it changed everything. For me, yes. I would NEVER go back to thinking my ONLY path to more money involved laying down a ton more time. I could NEVER FORGET the dings on my phone, that first “launch” bringing me in $2680. OMG!! But that was just the beginning.
I went through my list. A HUGE percentage of those who went through the Rapid Results program in 2010 and 2011 are STILL with me as Women Who WOW members to this day, nearly a decade later.
So, I’m dusting that baby off. (I haven’t updated it since 2015, when I sold it for $97.) I’m updating it for 2020 and adding the following:
