No one is talking about this, I assume because it may sting a little. Alas, I MUST shine some light on this because it is costing way too many entrepreneurs the success they WANT and DESERVE. So, here goes.
When discussing habits, we tend to focus on PRO-ACTIVE habits like:
🏃♀️ Did I workout 5 days this week ?
🏃♀️ Did I drink my _____ oz of water today?
🏃♀️ Did I journal?
🏃♀️ Did I sell?
🏃♀️ Did I pray? Read my Bible? Meditate?
All great things, really.
And they CAN DEFINITELY help you create the future you want. They add up. These habits matter.
But the MOST CRITICAL habits to examine in your life are the RESPONSIVE habits…
RESPONSIVE habits are far more entrenched in your psyche than PRO-ACTIVE habits, and they determined how EASILY you acquiesce, if — or when — you give up, what you do when you face growth opportunities.
So, let’s examine your HABITUAL responses to the relatively routine situations you’ll face on the battlefield of business. What is your HABITUAL response to….

Needing to make a decision? 😈
Businesses — and lives — of mediocrity are MARKED by indecision. In fact, when I took on private clients, I routinely WITHDREW offers when people waited, were slow to respond or were “waiting” to decide.
WHY??? Because decisive entrepreneurs are WAY more profitable. And because DELAYING on decisions is a HABITUAL response. So, if I had to wait on them to decide to start, I knew that their response to needing to make a decision was to DELAY… and that their progress would be GREATLY delayed as a result. So, I’d refer them to a much cheaper, much more tolerant coach.
EVEN with Women who WOW membership, when someone is referred to us and proves themselves a “delayer” I politely suggest they come back later (when they’re ready) and — in the meantime — find a CHEAP coach. (A cheap coach is better than no coach, and delay-ers are still playing around.)

Do you WATCH and WAIT?
Or do you HARNESS and RIDE?
This one stings for me a bit, because I was a watcher. I have squandered untold amounts of opportunity because I watched and waited. I rationalized why NOW was not the time and promised myself LATER. LATER, i would jump. I considered myself wise or noble, but in reality all of that noise was bullshit.
I was afraid.
Fearful of losing control of my carefully simplified life…. fearful of laying TOO MUCH on the altar of success,
never OWNING the truth that I was the AUTHOR of this story and could harness ANY opportunity and make it bend to my will, to my preferences and priorities.
I eventually learned to say “YES,” and then proceeding to lay out HOW I would walk out this particular YES.

Because these times WILL come. They will show up, not to HARM YOU, but to build your backbone, to build your MUSCLE, to build your DRIVE.
So, when they show up,

Do you hide? Do you reduce your rates? Do you shrink back? Do you doubt yourself? Do you shift everything? Do you push pause? Do you stop selling? Do you cancel that event?
Or do you stare these challenges in the eye and SWEAR ON YOUR LIFE that you will NOT be the one to blink first?
Oh woman,
thank God for these challenges.
It separates us from the rest.
The muscle by the way,
built by these pain points in our journey
is the same muscle you’ll need to:

💪🏼 leave that man
💪🏼share your truth
💪🏼claim your spot.. and defend it.
💪🏼sign that book contract
💪🏼say hell no
💪🏼say no more and to make a NEW habit of:
💪🏼saying yes… to your soul.
So, build it intentionally.
You see, all of these habits only show up “in the moment,” but we can DECIDE our response now, and I suggest you do. The back seat of a car is too late to decide how far you’ll go. So, decide NOW.
What will be your KNEE JERK response the next time you have a big decision — or small one — to make? About joining that program? Attending that event? or going ALL in in some way?
What will be your KNEE JERK response the next time you are presented with an opportunity that SCARES YOU? Hiring that coach? Pitching that book? Throwing that event? Launching that program?
What will be your KNEE JERK response the next time you face disappointment, rejection and hard times?
Because how you HABITUALLY RESPOND says a lot about who you are and is an eerily accurate predictor of the level of success you’re ACTUALLY willing to create in your business.
