Too many people wait for ABSOLUTE certainty before making a move.
➡️ They’ll quit their full time jobs only AFTER doubling their full time corporate income (by replicating it dollar for dollar, while working part time, in their OFF HOURS and “on the side.”)
Note: The 4-Hour Work Week doesn’t exist in the land of the successful. And even the author of that book admitted to needing a SIX MONTH sabbatical shortly after publishing his 4-hour-week philosophy.
➡️ They’ll pitch that media outlet, but only AFTER getting EVERYTHING ELSE done — and perfect — first.
➡️ They’ll publish that TIMELY article, but only after polishing it so aggressively they both miss the moment AND lose the shine.
I want to tell you a ✝️ Bible story. (1 Samuel 14: 1-14) So there’s this guy, the King’s son, sitting in a field waiting for something to happen in the war. He says to his personal bodyguard,
“Dude, I’m bored here waiting. i’ve got an idea. Let’s go pick a fight with that battalion over there. If God helps us, we’ll live. If God doesn’t help us, we’ll surely die. PERHAPS the Lord will act on our behalf.”
I’m paraphrasing a bit, but ONLY a bit.
The bodyguard’s words in response were these,
“I’m with you heart and soul.”
That last bit is NOT a paraphrase.
I’m with you HEART and SOUL.
When is the last time you went for something HEART and SOUL? Do you have a vision that compels you to such an extent?
Because what I see too much of is waiting.
WAITING until the blessing, the opportunity, the open door passes you by.
PACKING and RE-PACKING until you’re so late the plane has already taken off by the time you leave the house.
There is a GREAT link between having the courage — the AUDACITY — to go forward WITH HEART and SOUL… with a “perhaps” this will work out energy.
Because there is a great link between risk and reward.
Sometimes, “perhaps” is all we get.
But maybe that’s all we ever needed.
Don’t wait for guarantees. BET on yourself. Go ALL IN. Make the leap. You’ll NEVER regret backing your full vision. Will you sometimes leap and FALL FLAT?
Yep…
But you’ll learn something,
dust yourself off
and leap BETTER the next time.
The key is this:
Are you WiLLING to go in with a “perhaps?” OR are you sitting at home, UNWILLING to take any risk… and waiting on some guarantee?
Hint: Nothing in life is ever guaranteed.
