The business success arena has been littered with something super shameful lately… Profit Pornography. And guess what? It degrades and erodes reality in the same EXACT ways sex-based pornography does. Is it okay to explore this a little deeper? ESPECIALLY if it saves you tons of money and time and frustration business-wise?

Pornography — in the traditional sense– displays surgically altered, cosmetically enhanced women, sporting just the right proportions… and guess what? These women seem to never have periods, bad days, concerns over kids, stress over bills, etc. And they ALWAYS seem to have the libido of a 16-year old boy. And the men aren’t left out either… they are chosen often times for their penis size, of course, ranging in size from OMG to NO FRIGGIN WAY! All of the sex, of course, unaffected by stuff like kids knocking on the door, pregnancy, anger or resentment between partners, or anything else remotely “life-like.”
It’s easy to see how someone with a constant stream of pornographic exposure could view real-life sex — even in its best and most fulfilling moments — as lacking, if not down right disappointing.
So, let’s take this back into the business realm. Currently, I see so many profit porn peddlers operating within the business success arena, it makes me sick. As Dan Kennedy said in his latest newsletter, you just HAVE to smell the bullshit. I have to agree… especially when the porn being sold in business arena is akin to what’s I described above in the sex arena.
Here’s the profit porn scenarios being sold — much of this detailed in Dan’s latest newsletter, which I highly recommend you start getting — with further commentary by me:
- The “work one hour a day” philosophy: SOLD by people who are visibly — on stage, in front of their audience — working 8 – 12 hour days to sell you on their one-hour-a-day concept.
- The millionnaire money maps being sold by exalted gurus still digging out of a VERY RECENT bankruptcy that wiped away more than $850,000 in debt.
- The guru hopping from plane to plane — flying coach — doing week after week of free preview seminars, all trying to sell YOU on the idea of the internet as a “magic money machine.” Dan’s tongue in cheek question to this particular guru is worth sharing, ” What’s wrong with HIS magic money machine back home?” lol….
- Finally, how about the person teaching you to manifest your biggest desires? LOOK at what they DO to manifest their own…. Suffice it to say it AINT just sitting home manifesting.
All things that make you go hmmm…..
Bottom line: Profit porn — like real porn — presents a glossy, creatively enhanced, seemingly effortless and problem-less and obstacle-less UTOPIA and sells it as reality.
The challenges are airbrushed out. The average size paychecks are altered to make them OMG and NO FRIGGIN WAY huge. =) The hustle necessary for success — creatively edited out. Like regular porn, profit porn presents no storyline, no real world context, and only snippets of activity — a highlights reel — shown after all the work and ups and downs have been removed.
It’s no wonder someone with a constant stream of profit pornography exposure could view real-life business– regardless of how successful — as lacking, if not down right maddening and frustrating.
So, please inhale deeply. Smell the crap being so generously shoveled and thrown in your direction… and for profit’s sake — turn away from it. There’s real business that needs to be done. By You. Today. =)
Because, let’s face it: These self-aggrandized, self-annointed “gurus” have NOT discovered some secret that has been missed by EVERY SINGLE person on the Forbes 400 list. Even the illegal business owners gracing this prestigious list know that business success comes with a HUGE work requirement, a thick skin, and a determination that goes FAR BEYOND what these profit porn peddlers would have you believe.
