I have been writing and speaking a lot lately about “ALIGNMENT,” and here’s the PORTION of that topic that everyone “gets:”
Entrepreneurial Alignment aligns your actions with your goals. Therefore, you reach your goals more quickly and with less friction, less obstacles. All good stuff.
BUT, there’s something else to entrepreneurial alignment than that far too few people TRULY get, truly trust, truly depend on. It’s the most PROFITABLE piece to the entire concept and practice and habit of alignment.
Sure, aligned action feels right to YOU.
That’s a given.
If it’s truly “aligned” with your goals, it just feels “right.”
It doesn’t always feel EASY, but it definitely feels “right.”
Years ago, I was struggling BIG TIME in my marriage. It was a rough time and it lasted a LONG time. I considered leaving many times, very very seriously. But, even in those dark moments, the strong, timeless foundation of our love affair was still there. It was covered by some JUNK, sure, but it was still very present.
The EASIEST thing for me to do was to make him leave. It would have felt like a huge relief, like a dark cloud immediately dissipating. But, that decision wouldn’t have been aligned for me. The aligned decision was to do the whole “for better or for worse” thing… to remain true to the “in sickness and in health” thing. EASY? hardly. But it felt RIGHT for me.
Fast forward a few years and I realized something… MY aligned decision didn’t just align with my commitment, it aligned with HIS soul. My love for him, even when he was “unlovable” was exactly what his soul yearned for… it was ALIGNED with his greatest need. On the other side of our dark season…. our marriage, our love story, our passion and commitment for one another has been made so much stronger.
I tell you this because it works the same way in business.
I don’t just talk about alignment because making aligned decisions and taking aligned action works for YOU, and helps you reach YOUR goals faster. It goes deeper than that.
TRUE entrepreneurial alignment is also aligned with YOUR MARKET’S deepest needs. TRUE entrepreneurial alignment is also aligned with “them,” those you serve. What is aligned for YOU is also aligned for THEM.
And this is where the true profit lies. When you wake up every day and take aligned actions, you can be sure that your PROFIT will increase dramatically. Why? Because you messages, your offers, your programs will ALSO be aligned, with your goals, yes… but also with their hearts.
