The reason — depending on how you look at it —
is inspirational.
And a bit triggering.
But mainly, it’s instructional.
Here goes:
It’s easy to look virginal..
if you’re hanging around with really promiscuous women, right?
I mean… you’re NOT a virgin, 😊
but COMPARED to THEM….
well, you’re looking like a pretty “good girl.”
It’s all relative.
In the same way,
it’s EASY to look like the rock star
when you’re hanging out in a room with a bunch of treadmillers. (For more on my “treadmill of business” analogy, go here: https://www.bmichellepippin.com/what-went-wrong-wednesday-i…/ )
And it’s tempting, right?
It’s fun — for a while — to be the rock star in the room.
🤧 But don’t you ever just get sick of it?
🤧 Don’t you ever get sick of being the most accomplished one in the room?
🤧 Don’t you get sick of the small talk and do nothingness of the typical networking event?
🤧 Don’t you get TIRED of the meaningless noise?
Because — sick of it or not — it is holding you back.
All of it.
EVEN feeling like a rock star,
EVEN that temporary pride in being the biggest fish in the smallest pond.
I’ve been there. And, for a (very) BRIEF period, I enjoyed it. Truly. Being the primary bread-winner in a room of people barely making anything made me feel proud of what I’d accomplished… and also, happy I could actually help them!
But the conversations were small.
The questions were so fear-based.
The standard caution was all about being reasonable and taking things slow.
Uggg…
I grew intolerant.
For a while, I thought it was me.
I thought — to be vulnerable — that it was my own jealousy. My resentment that I HAD to be the breadwinner and these other women could play business as long as they wanted… their husbands patiently investing in this little hobby of theirs. I tried to rise about it. I WANTED to find a place there.
A big fish in a small pond’s not so bad, right???
👉👉 But THIS is why so many women entrepreneurs fall short of that first six-figure year. They’re in small groups with small thinkers having small conversations and tolerating small goals. 👈👈
I know I sound harsh, and that this will trigger some women… but I have to keep going. BECAUSE…. AREN’T YOU SICK OF MORE OF THE SAME?
🤧 Aren’t you sick of experiencing groundhog day in your business and life?
🤧 Aren’t you sick of making promises you don’t keep and setting goals you give up on before you even REALLY get started?
🤧 Don’t you get sick of NEVER being challenged by others in your environment?
Who you hang around with matters.
If you are never around people who make you feel SOMEWHAT TRIGGERED by what they are doing… you’re in the wrong groups!
Nowadays, I LIKE to be the small fish in the room. These are the rooms I grow the most in.
👍 Today, I Like feeling a little sheepish about reporting my accomplishments because I’m hanging around people doing amazing things.
👍 These are the people that stretch my thinking.
👍 Today, I love when someone in my circle shares a win that makes me — even for a moment — sting with jealousy… because it PROPELS me towards my own success.
IN other words, when you leave the room of treadmillers,
you’re no longer coasting.
You’re creating.
You’re CONSTANTLY reminded of what’s possible.
Your conversations, goals, actions, and commitments grow.
As does your income, impact, and influence.
THIS is why I grew Women Who WOW so deliberately
by print invite ONLY.
THIS is why… because I wanted to create a greenhouse for female entrepreneur success. I wanted to harness the power of association. I wanted ALL of us to push the others. I wanted to create a circle of women entrepreneurs that tolerated NO “small thinking.”
And print invite by print invite,
state by state,
industry by industry
we grew.
There’s no place like Women Who WOW,
and that has NOTHING to do with me.
It has EVERYTHING to do with the defiant, determined, driven and loyal women that call WOW home.
Doors are open right now to women like you. If this email resonates with you… even if it pisses you off… check us out. This page shows you the four ways you can use Women Who WOW membership: bmichellepippin.com/meet-women-who-wow
