You find “one” in every group of business owners: That miserable, unsuccessful business owner who has tried “everything” and “nothing works.” They know why “it” won’t work before “it” leaves your mouth. Few things irritate me more than this business owner.
BUT, we’ve all been her (or him) a time or two haven’t we? Blaming this or that for our lack of sales, dwindling profit, ebbing success?
- A too cheap or too poor market.
- Too much competition.
- Geographical challenges.
- Economic challenges.
Bottom line: Your SALES & INCOME are directly tied to how much RESPONSIBILITY you take in your business. Said differently, it’s ALL your fault.
Sound harsh? I know. It sounded harsh to me as well. Then I realized that as long as I was the problem, I was free to be the solution. If ANYTHING or ANYONE else was the problem in my business, my hands were tied.
And I don’t like feeling like my hands are tied. I’d MUCH rather BE the problem. That’s why — no matter WHAT your challenge, my motto is this:
There’s ALWAYS something that can be done. By you. Today.
