If this is the experience you REALLY want, it can be yours.
BUT…
BUT FIRST, and this is step one:
You’ve got to be willing to let go of the beliefs and the stories that it is hard… that money is hard (or hard for you), that love is hard (or hard for you), that even LIFE is hard (or hard for you.)
You’ve GOT to be willing to release the victim mentality that somehow success for you will be SOOOOOO Hard and “uphill both ways in the snow.” That somehow you’ve been dealt a bad hand and someone else has some sort of privilege that you don’t.
Look, It’s POSSIBLE you’ve been dealt a bad hand.
That’s entirely possible,
but it IS ALWAYS how you play that hand that matters.
Sometimes we are SOOOOOO attached to our stories. Our stories of abuse or neglect or hard times. Our stories of not enough, or loss, or of having too little.
I should know. I have my own stories. Some stories I’ve never shared and as a result, people think me “naive.” P.S. I don’t speak about what I don’t know….
often, if not always, first freaking hand.
But back to the subject at hand. In business, I was attached to a story….
a multi-faceted story….
MY story…
about success and wealth and work.
WORK was designed to be hard.
HARD work, and LONG hours was what was required to make ends meet.
I was attached to a story about creating success all on my own.
My story also included what was an undisputed (in my mind) fact: That big time success would require ALL of me, and leave nothing else for my family.
Is it ANY wonder I resisted BIG success for so long?
Finally, a wise man challenged me.
He asked me, “Do you want your story or do you want your dream? You can have either, but you can’t have both.”
It would take me about 5 more YEARS to fully choose.
To choose to abandon my ENTIRE story about success, and doing it all alone, up hill both ways in the snow, giving up my family to create it.
But mainly, I had to abandon the MARTYR story of,
“Look at me! I COULD have wild success, but I’m a committed wife and mother and so I choose FAMILY.”
THAT was the story I think my heart held tightest.
And so, eventually,
I woke up and saw the story for what it was.
A story.
A made up story…. that I could PLAY into and make real-life,
or that I could close the door on and leave in my past.
I did — eventually — choose the latter.
When I let go of my story of success and money and wealth being “hard,” I was able to really soar. The same will be true for you.
Ready for Step Two:
You’ve got to INSIST on a HELL YES energy.
In all things.
With friends.
With clients.
With members.
With food.
With EVERYTHING.
if you REALLY want success to FLOW to you,
ON YOUR OWN TERMS,
you must be willing to turn — ALWAYS — towards HELL YES people, circumstances and energies.
This will mean you turn your back on things that AREN’T hell yes.
This decision,
this WAY OF LIVING,
opens a door
for AMAZING things.
WHY???????
Because, friend, EVERYTHING takes up space.
So every single thing that isn’t a Hell YES, but is being TOLERATED by you…
Well, it’s taking up space.
As SOON as you turn your back on anything that is LESS THAN A HELL YES,
because nature ABHORS a vacuum,
watch what happens!
the HELL YES stuff finally finds its way in.
So, that’s it.
Drop the story.
And embrace ONLY the Hell Yes.
If you want more of this “huggable buttkicking,”
if you’re creating the EXTRAORDINARY,
if you roll your eyes at the MUNDANE and AVERAGE,
If you are DONE playing small,
