This morning I spoke with one of our Women Who WOW members from Utah. Another one from Virginia. Still another from Texas and one from Oregon. (We have members in every state, which BEGS the question: what are you waiting on to join us?) Let me tell you a collection of the “issues” we were strategizing:
I hate facebook and don’t want to show up there any more.
I feel like I’ve been MUTED and no one is seeing or responding to my posts, videos or emails.
I am being pressured to market in a way that feels really out of integrity for me.
I have been getting TOO into “serving” my market and feel “heavy” about getting back into selling.
I am in the thick of challenges right now. Tech challenges, social media frustrations, email issues. WHAT GIVES?
So, you know…
I virtually roll up my sleeves
and we dig in.
THE KEY,
for any and all business issues you face,
is two fold:
1) STICK TO PROVEN PRINCIPLES,
including but not limited to:
DETERMINING to be MORE you… bringing EVER more of your personality to market…. because THIS is the ONLY way for you to differentiate and create demand for your voice.
NEVER do anything to “get clients” that feels out of integrity for you.
REMEMBER that principles and tools are different. Principles APPLIED work everywhere they are applied. TOOLS are interchangeable. One can work as well as and / or replace another. (So the PRINCIPLES that worked for our ancestors 150 years ago as they grew their horse-shoe-ing business still work today. The PRINCIPLES of marketing that used to show up in print in the town crier, work today as they are applied on social media. PRINCIPLES do not change. Outlets change. Media changes. Principles do NOT change.)
To sell MORE, you’ve got to SELL MORE. i.e. if you’re not inviting people to buy from you…. please don’t complain about not having the money you want or deserve.
and
2) COURSE CORRECT AS NECESSARY.
(And course correction is ALWAYS necessary!) We ALL zig zag our way to success. So, occasionally… REGULARLY… you MUST recalibrate or course correct. Here’s what I received from someone this morning:
“Thank you so much. You are such a blessing in my life and in so many lives. Truly a light for the world and I am GRATEFUL!! Thanks again for this morning, it was the recalibration I needed!”
RECALIBRATION is defined as “to plan or devise (something) carefully so as to have a precise use, application, appeal.” We should ALL be measuring, feeling into, anticipating opportunities where we can get MORE precise in our efforts, more PRECISE in our appeal, more PRECISE in the use of our time.
The more PRECISE we are in our efforts,
aligning them with our ultimate goals,
the more PRECISE we are in our appeal,
aligning it with our ideal market,
the more PRECISE we are in the use of our time,
the faster we reach our goals…
and the journey will be much better too!!
