At this point in my business, I hear from a lot of women “entrepreneurs” who loudly and publicly “cheer” my posts (like this one). I’ll write about SERIOUSLY DRIVEN WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS who are relentlessly pursuing their goals, changing their industries, and — yes — making a bunch of money WHILE they make a big difference.
And there’s a whole crop of women who will comment or message me privately and say, “YES!! That’s me! HELL TO THE YES!!”
Now, these are typically strangers. And I TYPICALLY invite them on the “content journey” I created to help women decide if Women Who WOW is for them.
To which, I get a “HELL YES, only……..” response… and then the “bad ass, hell to the yes, I’m one of THOSE women” facade crumbles into a pile of rubbish on the floor. NOT because they chose not to join WOW. But because they start in with a ONE DAY promise followed by a LITANY of excuses of why ONE day isn’t — and couldn’t possibly be — today.
A bit of blaming…. and projecting their current situation on something FAR in their past. My Momma was a bad mom, says the 50+ year old woman. My ex-husband, no… my FIRST ex-husband was a bad man. So, you know, naturally I’m still struggling.
And a lot of excuses. I’ve got this, that and the other going on, which is why my business results are in the crapper… and have been, you know, for always.
Look, the best part about the past,

is that it’s over.
And all that stuff you have going on?
yeah… don’t we all?
Kid stuff.
back to school stuff.
marriage stuff.
weather stuff.
health stuff.
